DURHAM, N.C.— The LIU Brooklyn men's track & field team competed to North Carolina to compete at the Duke Invitational on Saturday. LIU posted seven IC4A qualifying marks at the meet.
Senior Roderick Moodie led the Blackbirds with a runner-up finish in the 110-meter hurdles, recording a new personal-best in the event and an IC4A qualifying time. Moodie also hit an IC4A qualifying time of 21.84 in the 200-meter dash.
Senior Caleb Williams registered a pair of IC4A qualifying times in the 100 and 200-meter events. Williams ran a time of 10.72 in the 100-meter dash and earned an eighth place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.58.
Senior Braylon Wilkerson placed fourth overall in the 400-meter event for the Blackbirds with an ECAC mark of 47.76. Senior DeShawne Bunion also registered an IC4A qualifying time of 48.76 to place in the top-20 in the event.
LIU's 4x100 relay team of Moodie, Wilkerson, Williams and sophomore Justin Brown finished sixth with a IC4A time fo 41.62.
In the field events freshman Krishna White placed 10th in the triple jump event with an IC4A qualifying mark of 14.51 meters.
LIU is back on the track Thursday, April 25 for the 125th running of The Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania.
