BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The LIU Brooklyn softball team (25-14) will make the short trip to Jersey City to play Saint Peter's (7-40) for the first time since the 2004 season. On Friday, the Blackbirds will head out for their Western Pennsylvania trip to face Robert Morris and Saint Francis U. on Saturday and Sunday as they make their last NEC regular season road trip.
SIBLING RIVALRY
The initiative for the non-conference matchup was one final chance for Frisco, Texas siblings Emily Collins, a LIU sophomore and Schieler Collins a Saint Peter's senior will face off for the first time in their collegiate careers. Both have had limited action this season, with Schieler, an outfielder, scoring five runs for the Peacocks on the season, and Emily, an infielder scoring two runs for the Blackbirds, since coming back from a season-opening injury.
