New Haven, Conn. - A trio of Long Island University tennis players took part in the ITA Regionals, hosted by Yale, with freshman
Aleksandra Pavlovic splitting a pair of singles matches.
In the opening round, Pavlovic dealt NJIT's Nina Mayevska, 6-3; 4-6; 7-6 (3) to move on to the round of 64. Dartmouth's Molly Scott, the top seed in the tournament, downed Pavlovic, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles action, the Blackbird duo of freshmen
Linn Sjogren and
Taysha Blessington fell to Dartmouth's Jessie Adler and Sara Leonard, 8-3, in the opening round of 64.
