Bronx, N.Y. - The Long Island University women's tennis team earned a 7-0 sweep at Fordham, running its winning streak to seven matches. The Blackbirds won all six singles matches and took all three doubles bouts to improve to 8-2.
Leading 1-0 after securing the doubles point, the Blackbirds made relatively easy work of the Rams in singles play. Senior
Selma Babic downed Martina Featherson, 6-0; 6-1, at the top spot and freshman
Aleksandra Pavlovic moved up to No. 2 to defeat Bethany Boyle by the same margin.

Linn Sjogren turned in a 6-0; 6-2 win over Sarah Tremaine. Classmate
Taysha Blessington knocked off Fordham's Jenny Mullen, 6-0; 6-0, at the fourth position.
In the five slot, senior
Stephanie Elie defeated Taylor Holt, 7-6 (3); 6-0. Senior
Dara Lahens was victorious at the No. 6 spot, downing Liz Stall, 6-3; 6-3.
Long Island will return to Northeast Conference play on Friday, April 2, visiting Monmouth at 3:00 p.m.
