Blackbirds Swept at St. John's

Queens, N.Y. - The Long Island University women's tennis team was dealt a 7-0 defeat by inter-borough rival St. John's on Saturday. The Blackbirds fell to 0-2 to open the spring season with the loss.
 
Long Island's lone win of the day came at the No. 1 doubles position. The duo of sophomores Aleksandra Pavlovic and Taysha Blessington scored an 8-1 win over St. John's Joanna Swirbulis and Diamond Adams.
 
The Blackbirds will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 26, visiting Saint Peter's at noon.
