Bronx, N.Y. - A rain storm blanketing the New York region has put a damper on a pair of Long Island athletic events, altering the schedules for the Blackbirds' baseball and women's tennis teams on Tuesday, April 5. The women's tennis match at Fordham, scheduled for 3:00 p.m. has been canceled and will not be made up. The baseball game at Manhattan, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. has been postponed.
