	Emmitsburg, Md. – The LIU Brooklyn men's and women's track and field teams competed at the Eric Kloiber Invitational on Saturday, hosted by Mount St. Mary's. The Blackbirds saw success in the sprint events as well as the 4x400-meter relay on both sides.
	The Blackbirds went 1-2-3 in the women's 200-meter dash, with senior Charlene Fuller taking the top spot with a 24.99. Freshman Bryanna Williams was second with a 25.78 and junior Amber Mitchell was third with a time of 26.19.
	Sophomore Marielena Rivera was third in the women's 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at 1:09.1. Rivera combined with Fuller, Williams and Mitchell for second place in the 4x400-meter relay, crossing the line in 4:10.96.
	In the field events, Williams took the top spot in the long jump with a leap of 5.53 meters. Sophomore Camille Thomas was sixth in the triple jump, leaping to a mark of 10.17 meters.
	On the men's side, junior Dwayne Layne was second in the 400-meter hurdles, earning a time of 55.39. The men's 4x400-meter relay team of freshmen Andi Augustin and Cameron Cipcic, senior Kyle Corbett and Layne took second, earning a time of 3:32.7.
	Sophomore Steve Buscema was fifth in the javelin with a throw of 41.41 meters.
	The LIU Brooklyn men's and women's track and field teams are back in action on April 6 for the Wagner Quad meet.
