2012 Florida Relays Home
Gainesville, Fla. - Representatives from the LIU Brooklyn men's and women's track and field teams competed at the 2012 Florida Relays over the weekend. The Blackbirds saw season-best performances in the 4x100 and 4x100-meter relays on both sides.
 Seniors Charlene Fuller, Torrie Saunders, Jazmin Waller and freshman Shakia Williams combined for a time of 46.14 in the 4x100-meter relay, while Waller, Williams, Saunders and senior Kadisha Wickham earned a time of 3:44.27 in the 4x400-meter relay.
 On the men's side, seniors Corryl Boyd and Jarenn Stewart and junior Nickolei Mahlung and Brian Richards clocked in at 41.55 in the 4x100-meter relay.
 In the 100-meter dash, Fuller earned a time of 11.87 in the event. Saunders and Waller both competed in the 100-meter hurdles, earning times of 15.01 and 14.25, respectively.
 Mahlung and freshman Mikhail Williamson both competed in the 100-meter dash. Mahlung clocked in at 10.54 while Williamson crossed the line in 10.79. In the men's 400-meter dash, Boyd recorded a time of 48.75.
 The Blackbirds compete next on April 14 at the Metropolitan Invitational. The event takes place at the Bergen County Overpeck Sports Complex in Palisades Park, N.J.
