BROOKLYN, N.Y. – Due to weather conditions, the LIU Brooklyn women's tennis match scheduled against Sacred Heart has been postponed. The match, originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Apr. 2, will now be held on Apr. 9 at 3:00 p.m.
Last Time Out
LIU opened the Northeast Conference season in style last Thursday afternoon, as the Blackbirds swept league opponent Monmouth, 7-0. The Blackbirds won all three doubles matches with ease, and did not drop a set in singles, to take the win from the Hawks.
Scouting the Pioneers
Sacred Heart is a combined 5-6 this year, including dual results from the fall, with a 2-1 record against NEC opponents. In September, the Pioneers beat Monmouth, 7-0, and have also notched a 6-1 win over Saint Francis (Pa.) in January. Most recently, Sacred Heart fell to defending NEC champions Fairleigh Dickinson, 7-0. In terms of common opponents, the Pioneers have also beaten Saint Peter's (7-0), while falling to Army, 4-3, whom the Blackbirds will face next week.
