BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn men's soccer team (0-3-0) returns to LIU Field this Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 6:00 p.m. to take on Atlantic 10 foe La Salle. Live stats and video are both available above. This will be the third meeting between the two teams.
ABOUT THE BLACKBIRDS
LIU fell in its home opener on Friday to George Washington, 0-2. Sophomore midfielderTanner Sica fired six shots, including two on goal, to currently lead the team and rank seventh in the NEC in shots per game (2.33). Junior forward David Nuernberg is not far behind with six shots on the season and 2.0 per game. Senior goalkeeper John Connolly sits in fourth in the conference in saves per game with 4.67 through the first three matches. The Blackbirds look to register their first goal of the season.
SCOUTING LA SALLE
The Pioneers currently sport a 0-2-1 record thus far in 2013. In their latest match, they fell 1-2 to Bucknell. Jason Plumhoff currently leads the squad with three goals this season, two of which came in a 3-5 loss to Loyola (Md.). La Salle was picked to finish fifth in the Atlantic 10.

The Blackbirds are on the road for their next two matches, as they travel to Riverdale this Friday to face Manhattan at 7:00 p.m. before heading to Lawrenceville, N.J. for a game with Rider on Sept. 17 at 4:00 p.m.
