ABOUT THE BLACKBIRDS
The Blackbirds are coming off of a 0-0 tie after a double overtime match with La Salle on Wednesay. LIU Brooklyn had 16 total shots as a team, including six from sophomore midfielder Tanner Sica and four from junior forward David Nuernberg. The team now ranks fourth in shots in the Northeast Conference, while Sica is tied for second in both shots (13) and shots per game (3.25). Senior goalkeeper John Connolly is second in the NEC for saves with 18 on the season.
SCOUTING MANHATTAN
The Jaspers are currently 0-3-0 with losses to Army, Delaware and No. 17 Syracuse. Dan Laguna Kennedy leads Manhattan with two goals on the season. Manhattan was picked to finish 10th in the MAAC preaseason poll.

The Blackbirds and the Jaspers last met in 2009, resulting in a 3-1 win for LIU Brooklyn. In a series dating back to 1977, the Blackbirds hold a 7-1 record against Manhattan.
