LAST TIME OUT
The Blackbirds headed west to Pennsylvania to start off the conference slate. "We have been talking about conference play for a long time now and are looking forward to this weekend's matchups," said head coach Allison Nuzzi. Last weekend we had a lot of positives to build on and we have worked to challenge ourselves and resolve certain areas where we underperformed. The team knows that we need to earn and take everything we get which means handling pressure and that's what we plan to do at home this weekend."
Freshman Jenn Peters led the way with six goals, one assist and 17 shots over the weekend, while Mary McQueen and Tori Shinkowitz chipped in three goals apiece. Goalkeeper Alexis Maldonado had 20 saves through the two games, while Priscilla Lawson-Pires caused five turnovers.
