Final Results
PRINCETON, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn women's track team participated in the highly competitive Larry Ellis Invitational, hosted by Princeton University on Friday and Saturday.
The lone competitor for the Blackbirds on Friday was Katrina Anderson. The junior started things off with an 11th place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:10.21.
The Blackbirds began Saturday with the 4x100 relay. Anise Cuffee, Bryanna Williams, Ja'Mesha Richard and Josephine Watson were fourth with a time of 46.93.
Richard was then seventh in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.28, while teammates Camille Thomas was 16th and Shanice Grant was 18th.
Grant then put up the best individual finish of the day for LIU. She was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 11.99.
In the second relay of the day, the 4x400, Anderson, Cuffee, Shakia Williams and Watson placed third after putting up a time of 3:49.61.
Up next, the women's track and field team heads to Philadelphia, Pa. for the historic Penn Relays from April 24-26.
