BROOKLYN, N.Y. – LIU Brooklyn head men's soccer coach TJ. Kostecky will participate in the New York Hospital Queens Coaches Corner on Wednesday, May 14.
The event, starting at 6:30 p.m. at the New York Hospital Queens, will feature a panel of local soccer coaches and medical experts to discuss youth soccer issues and the state of soccer in the United States. With the interest of soccer growing in the youth, injury has also been on the rise in both boys and girls. The panel members will discuss and attempt to answer many questions faced by trainers, coaches and club administrators of youth soccer and the changes occurring at the youth level, college and at the professional level.
Former New York Cosmos goalkeeper Shep Messing will moderate the panel. Other participants include the head coach of the New York Cosmos, Giovanni Savarese, Carlos Mendes, the current captain of the team, Dr. Jeffrey Rosen and Dr. Justin Classie, the team's physicians.
