2014 Schedule
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – LIU Brooklyn head women's cross country coach Janine Davis has announced the upcoming 2014 schedule. After a two-year hiatus from competition, the cross country team will participate in 10 events in the fall.
The Blackbirds will start out the season on August 29th at the Lehigh Invitational at the Goodman Campus Cross Course in Bethlehem, Pa. They take part in two meets in September, the Fordham Fiasco at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx on Sept. 6 and the Ted Owen Invitational at the Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. on Sept. 27.
LIU returns to the Goodman Course on Oct. 4 for the Paul Short Run, and its second trip to Van Cortlandt Park for the Metropolitan Championships on Oct. 11.
The Blackbirds get one more tune-up at the Stanley Quarter Park on Oct. 24 for the CCSU Mini Meet, before heading back to the course the following week on Nov. 1st for the Northeast Conference Championships.
The NCAA Northeast Regional Championships will be held on Nov. 14 at Van Cortlandt Park, along with the ECAC Championships on Nov. 22.
The NCAA National Championships are scheduled for Nov. 22 as well at the Laverne Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
