NSCAA Rankings
BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Winner of five straight matches and currently the top team in the Northeast Conference with a perfect 4-0-0 record, the LIU Brooklyn men's soccer team is eighth in the latest Northeast region poll, as announced by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. The Blackbirds are coming off of a big weekend that included home victories over Robert Morris and Saint Francis University. This is the first time since 2011 that LIU has been regionally ranked by the NSCAA.
In last Friday's matchup versus Robert Morris, senior Nahuel Medina scored the lone goal of the game, his third of the season, in the second half for the Blackbirds' third straight NEC win. Freshman Rasmus Hansen scored the game-winning goal for the Blackbirds against Saint Francis U on Sunday, to remain undefeated in NEC play with a record of 4-0. The perfect mark through four games is the longest winning streak to open a league season since the 1992 season.
