BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The LIU Brooklyn men's soccer team travels to Central Connecticut on Sunday, Oct. 25 for another league contest starting at 4:00 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
LIU defeated Saint Francis University in overtime last Sunday, 1-0. Freshman Rasmus Hansen scored the game-winning goal for the Blackbirds, who remain undefeated in Northeast Conference play with a record of 4-0. The perfect mark through four games is the longest winning streak to open a league season since the 1992 season.
ABOUT THE BLACKBIRDS
Hansen earns the second NEC Rookie of the Week honor of his career after scoring his team-leading sixth goal of the season on a 25-yard shot against Saint Francis U. on Sunday. Redshirt junior keeper Logan Keys has not allowed a goal in his last 288:02 of action, improved to 7-0-1 this season and now boasts a 0.37 goals-against average. Keys ranks second in the nation in save percentage (.912) and fifth in goals against average.
ABOUT THE BLUE DEVILS
Central Connecticut is coming off of its first NEC victory this season over Fairleigh Dickinson, 2-1. The Blue Devils are now 3-6-2 on the season and 1-1 in NEC play. Sophomore Ryan Taylor leads Central's offense, recording four goals and three assists, while junior keeper Nick Velleca has 32 saves in six starts for the Blue Devils.

Last time LIU and Central met, the Blackbirds defeated the Blue Devils, 2-1. The all-time series record between the two NEC rivals is 10-12-2.
