2015 LIU Brooklyn Women's Cross Country Schedule

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Head women's cross country coach Janine Davis announced her squad's 2015 schedule on Wednesday. The Blackbirds, in their second season of competition after a brief hiatus, will begin their campaign on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Monmouth Cross Country Kick-Off at Thompson Park in Lincroft, N.J.

Following the Monmouth meet, LIU takes a trip to Rhode Island for the Nassaney Cross Country Pre-Conference Meet, hosted by Bryant, on Sept. 12. Two weeks later, the Blackbirds return to New England for the Leeber Invitational, hosted by Fairfield, on Sept. 26.

The Paul Short Run, held in Bethlehem, Pa., will take place on Oct. 2 before LIU Brooklyn competes at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, Oct. 9 in a race held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Princeton's annual Cross Country Invitational will be run on Oct. 17, two weeks before the Blackbirds take part in the Northeast Conference Championships in Smithfield, R.I. on Halloween morning.

LIU returns three letterwinners, including last season's top performer Esther Jean-Louis, and welcomes seven newcomers to the team for the 2015 season.
