Queens, N.Y. – LIU Brooklyn cross country competed in the St. John's Fall Classic Sunday afternoon.
The Blackbirds placed sixth out of seven teams finishing with 160 points.
Junior Esther Jean-Louis (16:18.40) was the first LIU Brooklyn runner to complete the 4k course finishing 32nd overall.
Sophomore Liz Burton (17:11.10) and senior Alison Doway (17:12.90) placed 39th and 40th respectively.
Sophomore Zaahira Deboise (18:05.30) and sophomore Cisse Diawara (18:41.20) rounded out the Blackbirds top five.
St. John's won the meet scoring 41 points. Stony Brook's Christina Melian won the individual title finishing with a time of 13:38.10.
The Blackbirds return to action Saturday, Oct.29 when they head to Loretto, Pennsylvania for the Northeast Conference Championships.
