LORETTO, Pa. - LIU Brooklyn women's cross country placed 10th at the Northeast Conference Championship meet on Saturday.

The Blackbirds finished the meet with a team score of 247. Host Saint Francis University won the team title scoring a 56. Central Connecticut junior Brittany Mendelson placed first running a 19:33.2.

Junior Adjovi Simpini (45th) was the first LIU runner to complete the 5k course in 22:36.3.

Junior Esther Jean-Louis (23:12.5) crossed the line next for the Blackbirds.

Sophomore Liz Burton finished the race in 24:03.2 to place 58th.

Junior Nerene Aberdeen (24:15.5) and senior Alison Doway (24:35.3) rounded out the scoring for LIU Brooklyn.
