PRINCETON, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn women's track and field team took part in the ECAC Championships this past weekend at Princeton University. Multiple individuals scored points for the Blackbirds, who closed in 18th place with 21 points.
Leading the way was senior Kyaira Wright-Harmon, who participated in a jump off for first place in the high jump but settled for a silver-medal showing after clearing 1.73 meters.
Senior Gabriella Ade-Onojobi and freshman Shantae McDonald finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the 100-meter hurdles, with Ade-Onojobi finishing in a time of 14.10 to best her teammate by eight one-hundredths of a second.
Rounding out the LIU Brooklyn contingent was junior Cassandra Jones, who closed in sixth place in the 400-meter dash, and senior Stephanie Aidoo, who finished eighth in the 200-meter dash.
