JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - LIU Brooklyn junior Esther Jean Louis was the top finisher for the women's cross country team at the North Florida Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. Jean Louis ran the 3K course in 11:37 to close in 35th place out of 64 runners.
Classmate Adjovi Simpini was the second fastest Blackbird in the Sunshine State, finishing in 43rd position. Alison Doway, Zaahira Deboise and Cisse Diawara crossed the finish line in 59th, 60th and 63rd, respectively.
Central Florida's Anne-Marie Blaney earned top individual honors by over six seconds ahead of North Florida's Eden Meyer.
LIU Brooklyn returns to action on Sept. 16 at the Rider Invitational in Pennington, N.J.
