UNION, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn men's soccer team rounds out its non-conference schedule on Wednesday afternoon with a matchup with NJIT, beginning at 4:00 p.m.
The Blackbirds recently had a four-match unbeaten streak halted at Albany, and enter the contest with a 5-3-1 overall record. Sophomore Rasmus Hansen had three assists in LIU's recent 4-0 win over Saint Peter's, and his seven helpers on the season rank him in a tie for second nationally. Junior Naeem Charles also had a big offensive weekend, scoring three times including twice against the Peacocks.
NJIT (4-3-2, 1-1 Atlantic Sun) recently started league play and has split a pair of games with Jacksonville and nationally-ranked Florida Gulf Coast. Most recently against the No. 15 Eagles, the Highlanders dropped a 4-1 decision despite outshooting their opponent by a 17-11 margin. Rene White, who has a team-high five goals this year, scored the lone goal for NJIT.
