STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.- The LIU Brooklyn women's track & field team continued its season at the Gotham Cup Friday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.

Senior Satima Chambers highlighted the Blackbirds day with a second-place finish in the 60-meter dash crossing the line in 7.69. Sophomore Shantae McDonald placed 18th overall with a time of 7.97.

Senior Cassandra Jones continued LIU's success with a fourth-place finish in the 200m running a 25.00.

Senior Rashema Briscoe (9.60) added another top-20 finish coming in 19th place in the 60-meter hurdles.

In the field events, senior Teena Mobley placed 13th in the long jump with a leap of 5.30m.

The Blackbirds return to action next weekend (January 26-28) at the B.U. John Terrier Classic in Boston.
