BU John Thomas Terrier Classic Results  Villanova Open Results

BOSTON, MASS.- The LIU Brooklyn women's track & field team competed at the BU John Thomas Terrier Classic this weekend.

Senior Satima Chambers and senior Cassandra Jones led the way for the Blackbirds.

The seniors' success started in the 200-meter dash. Chambers crossed the line in 24.64 to place fourth. Jones (24.68) finished one spot behind Chambers to place fifth, and sophomore Shantae McDonald completed the race in 24.73 to finish sixth.

In the 400-meter, Jones finished third crossing the line in 55.62, and Chambers placed fourth finishing the competition in 55.78.

McDonald added another top-15 finish in the 60-meter hurdle placing 11th completing the race in 8.96.

On Friday, LIU also competed at the Villanova Open at the Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, New York.

Freshman T'Rejyah Johnson placed ninth in the 400-meter finishing the race in 58.08.

The Blackbirds return to action Friday, February 3 at the Metropolitan Championship at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York.
