BROOKLYN, N.Y. - LIU Brooklyn bowling senior Madison Lukosius has been named the Northeast Conference Bowler of the Week, it was announced by the league office Thursday afternoon. She earns the honor for the second time this season, and the third in her career.
Lukosius averaged a team-high 20.23 pins per frame during LIU Brooklyn's visit to the Stephen F. Austin Lady Jacks' Invitational. The senior right-hander struck 72 times in 138 chances (.522) while filling frames at an 83.3 percent rate over the course of the three-day tournament. Lukosius was sensational during the traditional team rounds, accounting for the fifth-highest individual game average (219) of the event. En-route to earning a spot on the Lady Jacks' All-Tournament Team, the Garden State product accounted for a 233-pin performance in a win over Jackson State. She followed up that performance by registering a 258 high game in a win over No. 19 Prairie View A&M. Luksoius also threw a 211 game in a setback to No. 4 Sam Houston State.
