The Blackbirds shot 32-over par as a team (307-301=608) and were led by sophomore Daniel Reale's top 25 showing (74-74=148 / +4; T-24th). Senior Jake Spearpoint ended the day in the top 50 with an 8-over 152 (76-76) that placed him in a tie for 48th overall. Junior Kyle Maihi and sophomore George Helsby just missed the top-50 cutoff with identical 10-over 154 performances that put them in a tie for 52nd place. Maihi shot a 79 and 75 in his two rounds while Helsby carded a 78 and a 76. Junior Victor Aronsson rounded out the LIU quintet in action with a 15-over day (80-79=159) that has him tied for 71st going into Sunday's final round.
