Men's Golf | Apr 29 | Men's Golf Ends Second Day Of NECs In Eighth Story Links Results DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. --- The second day of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championship finished Saturday afternoon with the LIU Brooklyn men's golf team in eighth place in the nine-team field. LIU trimmed a stroke off its first round team score with a 23-over 311 to record a two-round total of 47-over 623. Despite its improvement, the group lost ground from its fifth place opening round. Sophomores Daniel Reale and George Helsby remained in the top 20 of the individual rankings with Reale tied for seventh at 6-over 150 (70-80) and Helsby slotted in a tie for 15th at 11-over 155 (77-78). Rounding out the LIU group were senior Rodrigo Munoz (82-76=158 / +14; 27th), junior Kyle Maihi (83-77=160 / +16; T30th) and senior Jake Spearpoint (86-82=168 / +24; T40th).
