ANNAPOLIS, Md. --- After ending the first round of the Navy Spring Invitational tied for third place on Saturday, the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team completed the final 18 holes of play Sunday afternoon and finished in eighth place overall with a score of +93 (328-341=669).
Freshman
Carolina Ronchel displayed her consistency by carding a nine-over 81 for the second straight day, keeping her in the top 15 overall with a score of 18-over 162 (tied for 13th). Sophomore
Emma Paschal fell from her seventh place position from round one but remained in the top 25 with a 21-over 165 (79-86) that was good enough to tie for 23rd.
Finishing in the top 40 were junior
Lauren Rutherglen (T-34th; 82-88=170, +26) and freshman
Aida Gonzalez (T-38th; 86-86=172, +28) while freshman Rebeca Pardos remained in 57th place but improved her first round score by five strokes (94-89=183, +39).
NEXT UP
The Blackbirds have completed their regular season and now await the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships, which are scheduled to begin on April 19th in Daytona Beach, Fla.
