Women's Golf | Sep 11 | Women's Golf Ends Rutgers Invitational In Ninth Place Story Links Results PISCATAWAY, N.J. --- Sunday's final round for the LIU Brooklyn women's golf team at the season opening Rutgers Invitational saw the Blackbirds remain in 9th place overall, wrapping the 54-hole event shooting a combined 116-over 980. The team improved each round, shooting 330 in the first, 326 in the second, and 324 in the third. Sophomore Carolina Ronchel finished in the top 15 of the individual standing after her 14-over 230 (79-74-77) placed her in a tie for 12th. Senior Lauren Rutherglen (T37; +29 / 79-85-81=245), sophomore Aida Gonzalez (T47; +36 / 83-86-83=252), and junior Emma Paschal (T50; +40 / 89-82-85=256) rounded out the Blackbirds to finish in the top 50. Sophomore Rebeca Pardos finished in 55th with a three-round total of 43-over (91-85-83=259) and junior Sara Ciliberto finished 61st as an individual at 50-over (87-89-90=266). NEXT UP LIU will have two weeks off before its next tournament, the Dartmouth Invitational in Hanover, N.H. from September 23-24.
