Men's Golf | Sep 19 | Men's Golf Completes Second Fall Tourney At Hartford Story Links 2017 Hartford Hawk Invitational Results SOUTH KENT, Conn. --- The LIU Brooklyn men's golf team completed its second tournament of the fall season on Tuesday afternoon, finishing the Hartford Hawk Invitational in 16th place with a three-round score of 48-over 912. The Blackbirds shot a combined 15-over (303) in the first round, 11-over (299) in a second round that was suspended by darkness Monday and resumed today, and 22-over (310) in the third round. LIU reached its peak position after the second round, going into the final 18 holes of the 20-team field in 14th place. Junior Daniel Reale led the Blackbirds for the second time in as many tournaments. The Australian native finished in the top 50 of the field with a 6-over 222 (75-73-74) to tie for 43rd place overall. Seniors Kyle Maihi (76-74-80) and Victor Aronsson (74-75-81) were eight shots back of Reale at 14-over 230 (T-79th) while junior George Helsby (80-77-78) and freshman Manuel Sosa (78-79-78) ended the event at 19-over 235 (T-93rd).
