The Blackbirds won their home opener, Friday, March 22, beating Presbyterian 18-7. Junior Bianca Santucci led the LIU Brooklyn women's lacrosse team's scoring spree, with a game-high six goals to help pace the Blackbirds.
Sophomore Sam Kidd had the win in net, making five saves for LIU. Amanda Masullo finished the game with five goals and three assists, while Bianca Santucci had six goals and an assist. Rachel Masullo had a team high seven draw controls to go with her four goals, while Bridget Neiley had two assits and a goal for the Blackbirds. Freshman Isabelle Peng had three caused turnovers, three ground balls and two draw controls on defense, while senior Carlie Robinson had four ground balls and freshman Courtney Connelly had three ground balls and a caused turnover.
SCOUTING THE LEOPARDS
Lafayette comes into Tuesday's contest with a 5-6 overall record, having just beaten American at home this weekend, 15-11.
