BROOKLYN, N.Y.— Eugenie Hue of the LIU Brooklyn women's track & field team was named Northeast Conference Women's Track Athlete of The Week as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon. It is Hue's first weekly honor for the outdoor season after earning the league's weekly honor four times during the indoor season. 

Hue registered a league-leading time at the George Mason Spring Invitational on Saturday. The senior recorded an event win in the 800 meter event with a school record and personal best mark of 2:08.54. She has now set four different school records in her tenure in downtown Brooklyn. That time paces the NEC and ranks 53rd among NCAA DI East Region qualifiers. 

The Blackbirds travel down to Durham, N.C. for the Duke Invitational set to begin on Friday, April 19.
