Academic Honor Roll
BROOKLYN, N.Y. – An elite collection of student-athletes were honored today by the Northeast Conference (NEC) as 2019 Winter Scholar-Athlete award winners. Women's indoor track & field senior Eugenie Hue was named the NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's indoor track & field, while 47 LIU winter student athletes earned NEC Academic Honor Roll, and 11 athletes were named to the Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Hue earns the first yearly academic honor of her career, and is the second LIU student to earn the honor in the past two years, as women's tennis senior Malin Leysen was named the NEC Spring Scholar Athlete of the Year in June of 2018.
All scholar-athlete award winners have compiled a minimum of 60 semester hours at their institution, maintained a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 and participated with distinction as a member of a varsity team.

The Commissioner's Honor Roll figure represents a 8.6 percent increase from a year ago.
