EWING, N.J.— The LIU Brooklyn women's track & field team capped its regular season competition at the 2019 Lions Invitational at TCNJ on Saturday.
Junior Stephanie Esogenwune followed up her performance at the Penn Relays with a third place finish in the long jump with a mark of 5.40 meters.
Sophomore Michaela Neils registered a personal-best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.31 to finish runner up.
LIU had three runners place in the top-10 in the 400-meter event on Saturday. Freshman Jasmine Douglas Grant placed sixth with a time of 1:00.07. Senior Cayla Coleman finished right behind her with a time of 1:00.70 and freshman Ekenedilichukwu Christine Onyechi followed that up with a time of 1:00.84 to place eighth in the event.
The Blackbirds will begin post season competition at the 2019 Northeast Conference Outdoor Championships beginning Saturday, May 4 at CCSU.
