Final Results
HACKENSACK, N.J. - The LIU Brooklyn women's track and field posted strong performances, including three first-place finishes at the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights Classic on Sunday.
Sophomore Ja'Mesha Richard won the 300-meter run in a field of 34 with a time of 41.58. Sophomore Alea Stevens placed third with 42.57, while Marielena Rivera was sixth in 43.67.
Junior Katrina Anderson added the second win of the day for the LIU Brooklyn after running to a time of 1:36.32 in the 600-meter run.
The Blackbirds had three athletes compete in the finals of the 55-meter dash. Sophomore Shanice Grant placed second with a time of 7.24, while juniors Shakia Williams and Brittany McClain were fifth and sixth with times of 7.52 and 7.54, respectively.
LIU Brooklyn also won the 4x200 meter relay with a time 1:43.20, nearly two seconds faster than the second place team.
