BALTIMORE - The LIU Brooklyn men's basketball team opens the 2015-16 season on Monday evening with a road contest at Loyola (Md.). Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. from Reitz Arena, with all of the action available online on the Patriot League Network.

Quick Hitters
•The Blackbirds return eight letterwinners from last season's team, including a pair of Northeast Conference All-Rookie Team members in 2014-15: Martin Hermannsson and Nura Zanna
•Head coach Jack Perri returns for his fourth season at the helm of LIU Brooklyn with his largest roster to date, which includes 13 scholarship players and three walk-ons.
•Perri welcomed eight newcomers to the team this year, including junior transfers Jerome Frink and Aakim Saintil, who figure to play a large role with the team. 
•Juniors Iverson Fleming, Glenn Feidanga and Joel Hernandez are the most experience players on a roster that features zero seniors.
•Loyola (Md.) is coming off a 86-71 loss to Tennessee State in its season opener on Friday, Nov. 13.
•The Greyhounds were led by junior guard Tyler Hubbard, who scored a team-high 21 points. Hubbard is
the top returning scorer from a season ago (10.8 ppg). 
•The two teams have met 16 times previously, with all of those meetings coming during the period of time when Loyola was a member of the Northeast Conference from 1981-89.
•The Greyhounds have won 10 of the 16 games contested between the two schools, with the Blackbirds taking a 79-66 victory in the last meeting during the 1988-89 season.
