2015 NEC All-Conference Teams

BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Five individual members of the LIU Brooklyn women's track and field team, along with two relays, were named to All-Northeast Conference teams, it was announced by the league Thursday. The Blackbirds took home the second-place trophy after scoring 140 at the NEC Outdoor Championships earlier this month.

Kyaira Wright-Harmon's name appears three times on the All-NEC First team list. The junior was a triple winner at the NEC Championships, first breaking her own NEC record in the high jump with a mark of 1.78. She then 5.91m in the long jump and 12.01m in the triple jump to win two more gold medals and become the Most Valuable Performer and Most Outstanding Field Performer.

Cemorne Davis, the Most Outstanding Track Performer, was named to the First Team for both the 200-meter and 400-meter dashes. Davis won the 200 in 24.59, before placing first in the 400 in 55.21. Senior Katrina Anderson earned First Team accolades in the 1500-meter run with her winning time of 4:39.26, and claimed a spot on the Second Team in the 800-meter run.

Several were also named to the All-NEC Second Team. Senior Bryanna Williams was the silver medalist in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.88 and LIU's top finisher in the event, while junior Gabriella Ade-Onojobi was second in the 100-meter hurdles for the Blackbirds' best finish.

LIU's 4x100-meter relay was an All-NEC First Team earner, after winning the gold by more than a second earlier in May. The 4x400 relay also took the top spot on the podium by a similar margin in a time of 3:48.22

Up next, Wright-Harmon will represent the Blackbirds at the NCAA East Regional, held in Jacksonville, Florida, beginning this Thursday afternoon.
