SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS - The LIU Brooklyn men's basketball team continues its nine-game absence from the Steinberg Wellness Center this Saturday, December 3, heading to San Antonio, Texas, to take on the University of Incarnate Word at 4 p.m. Eastern Time at the McDermott Convocation Center. The 6-1 Blackbirds will be looking to continue a three-game winning streak, and continue the program's best start to a season since the 1971-72 squad went 7-1.

- The LIU Brooklyn men's basketball team improved to 6-1 this season with their Wednesday night win over Hartford in Chase Arena, 75-68.
- Senior Jerome Frink led all scorers with 28 points, while sophomore Raul Frias had a career-high 14 points and eight rebounds.

- Incarnate Word is led by three experienced guards. Shawn Johnson leads the Cardinals, and is second in the Southland Conference, averaging 19.6 points per game. He's also shooting a blazing 61.1 percent from the field so far this year. The 6-5 junior guard also leads the team with a 9.0 rebounds per game average, and is second on the team with 13 steals.
- Senior point guard Jalin Hart is next on the squad, averaging 13.8 points per game and leads the team with 5.0 assists per game and 14 steals so far this season. Sophomore guard Tyler Singleton chips in 11.8 points per game.
- From San Antonio, the Blackbirds head to Durham, N.C., where they will take on North Carolina Central, Tuesday, December 6 at 7 p.m.
