BROOKLYN, N.Y. - The LIU Brooklyn men's basketball team opens a regular-season ending, two-game homestand on Thursday night at the Steinberg Wellness Center against Central Connecticut. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., with all of the action available live online on NEC Front Row. 

QUICK HITTERS
•The Blackbirds are looking to sweep the season series with the Blue Devils for the second consecutive season after having won the first matchup in New Britain, 76-67.
•LIU won its third game in its last four in a come-from-behind overtime thriller at Saint Francis U. on Saturday afternoon. The Blackbirds trailed by 12 points with just over 12 minutes remaining and fought back to tie it and force overtime. 
•In the extra session, the Blackbirds went a perfect 5-for-5 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free-throw line en route to the five-point win.
•Sophomore Martin Hermannsson (25 points), junior Jerome Frink (21) and junior Aakim Saintil (20) became the first trio of teammates this season in the Northeast Conference to record 20 or more points in the same game.
•The last time three Blackbirds scored 20 or more points was just over three years prior on Feb. 16, 2012, when Jamal Olasewere (27), Julian Boyd (20) and Michael Culpo (20) helped LIU to a 103-91 win over Sacred Heart.
•With the win over Saint Francis U., LIU Brooklyn clinched a spot in the upcoming Northeast Conference Tournament for the second straight year.
•CCSU (4-23, 3-13 NEC) is coming off an 83-57 loss to top-ranked Wagner on Feb. 20. 
•Brandon Peel registered his 14th double-double of the season and his ninth straight with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Evan Phoenix added 12 points off the bench.
