2018: Named to the NEC’s Commissioner’s Honor Roll and the Fall Academic Honor Roll… Played in five games for the Blackbirds before injury ended his season… Made four starts… Finished his year with 24 saves, including nine against Iona, and seven in a 2-1 win over La Salle.
2017: Named to the NEC All- Rookie Team… Also named to the NEC Fall Academic Honor Roll… Started nine games in net for the Blackbirds, finishing with five wins… Finished the regular season ranked fourth in the conference in goals against average (1.02) and saves per game (4.44), and fifth in save percentage (.800)…. Had 45 saves, and three shutouts… Had a season high 10 saves against St. Francis Brooklyn in the regular season… Also registered seven saves on the road in a win over CCSU… Had a shutout win on the road against Sacred Heart. Also made five saves to register a shutout win over Bryant, 1-0… Shutout FDU in the NEC semifinals, making two saves to help LIU to a 4-0 win.
Background: Played for Dawson College and the CS Mont-Royal Outremont semi-pro team… Was named team MVP and team captain at Dawson… Was also a two-time RSEQ Goalkeeper of the Year.
Personal: Son of Mary Morino and Luca Sciola… graduated with honors.
